The December and New Year’s holidays are typically the airlines’ busiest travel times, and this year will be no exception. Thirty-four percent of those polled in a recent survey said they would be traveling by plane.
The survey was conducted by The GO Group, LLC, an international ground transportation service provider and GO Airport Express, a GO member and Chicago-based ground transportation company serving O’Hare International and Midway airports.
Of the almost 969 who answered the survey, 48 percent they were not traveling by air during this time but 18 percent responded they have not yet decided.
“With almost 20 percent still undecided, the airlines should be preparing for a robust holiday travel season,” says John McCarthy, president of The GO Group. “This is terrific news for the travel industry and the economy overall.”
One of the oldest companies in Chicago, GO Airport Express traces its founding to 1853 and the Parmelee Transportation Company, which provided a carriage service between Chicago’s railroad stations and the downtown hotels. The GO Group, LLC is a one-stop source for door-to-door airport shuttle services. Its members transport some 13 million passengers to and from some 66 airports in the United States, Mexico, Canada and Europe annually.
