Due to the success of its Holiday Shuttle program, GO Airport Express has extended its free shuttle service for hotel guests to local destinations contingent upon the purchase of a return ticket from the hotel to O’Hare or Midway airports.
“Out-of-towners have been very appreciative of this free service which, lets them enjoy many of Chicago’s attractions while avoiding expensive taxi fares and the difficulties of navigating downtown,” says John McCarthy, president of GO Airport Express. “Also, we want to be supportive of Chicago’s tourism industry and encourage people to visit our city during what is typically a slower season.”
The Winter Shuttle program will now run through February 28, 2010 and is available from 10 a.m. – 10 p.m. Hotel guests must book the service through their hotel concierge or front desk staff and provide proof of a GO Airport Express return purchase. Service area boundaries are: north to Division; west to Ashland and south to 26th street, including the Museum Campus.
GO Airport Express currently transports more than one million passengers annually to and from Chicago’s O’Hare and Midway Airports. Its door-to-door services are offered to and from downtown Chicago, as well as most Chicago neighborhoods and its surrounding suburbs. GO Airport Express is a “green” ground transportation option; with six people on board, a van uses only 30 percent of the fuel that six cars would use and creates 54 percent fewer carbon emissions. The company also is a founding member for GO Airport Shuttle, offering transportation from airports worldwide.
