GO Airport Express is offering a free “Meet & Greet” services for all it passengers ages 12 and under, who are traveling to O’Hare Airport in Chicago without an adult the day before Thanksgiving, Wednesday, November 21. To participate, parents or guardians of unescorted children should contact a GO Airport Express reservationist at 1.888.2.TheVan (1.888.284.3826).
A uniformed Airport Express employee who will hold a sign with the child’s name will meet him or her in the baggage claim area. The free service will be available at O’Hare airport from 8:00 a.m. through 9 p.m. on Wednesday, November 21.
“Picking up children at the airport is a two-person job under normal circumstances,” says John McCarthy, president of GO Airport Express. “One person has to go in, find the child and gather up luggage, while the other circles the terminal. At the holidays, it’s even harder. The traffic at the airport is a nightmare; the garages are full and cars are three-deep at the curb,” says John McCarthy, president, GO Airport Express. “By meeting young travelers personally at the baggage claim areas, parents will be assured that a responsible adult is watching after their children and overseeing their safe arrival at their destination, while avoiding the inherent aggravation of navigating the airport themselves.”
Founded in 1853 as the Parmelee Transportation Company, GO Airport Express currently transports more than one million passengers annually to and from Chicago’s O’Hare and Midway Airports. Its services are offered to and from downtown Chicago, as well as most Chicago neighborhoods and its surrounding suburbs. It is also a founding member of GO Airport Shuttle, offering transportation from more than 100 airports worldwide. For more information visit www.airportexpress.com
